Hey there! My name is Carleigh and I am the owner and one woman show here at Peace of Mind Integrative Bodywork. I have been practicing Massage Therapy for Seven years and started my career working in small business owned studios located all around Jersey City. I knew that I was meant to help people, I just didn’t know in what way. After many failed attempts at college, starting one job after another and really struggling to find the right career path, I landed myself a tour at the Cortivia Institute in Hoboken NJ, where I fell in love with bodywork and graduated in 2018. I have experienced many cases of pain in my seven years of practice. Lingering, chronic, acute; to medically diagnosed musculoskeletal disorders. My approach to body work is integrative with some intuition thrown into the mix. I use a broad set of modalities to assist in muscle recovery. This form of treatment is something that I’ve always gravitated to in my work, and I feel is one of the best approaches to healing and providing lasting pain relief. I do my best to find the root causes of the issue, using a multitude of techniques including deep tissue compressions and fascial work to help achieve a pain free lifestyle. I believe that every body is individualized in its healing needs. I have training in many modalities and offer Prenatal massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Cupping, Gua Sha and TMJ Release in my practice. I believe in an intentional massage approach to the body. Every technique I use is customized to remedy your pain and aid in healthy muscle recovery.
